Directions to Tan y Bryn

Set amid fantastic scenery in an elevated natural basin, Llan Ffestiniog is a small village situated within the Snowdonia National Park at the head of the Vale of Ffestiniog, on the A470.

From Bala

Turn of the A494 in Bala onto the A4212 towards Trawsfynnydd. Continue on the A4212 for approximately 10 miles. Turn right onto the B4391 singposted Ffestiniog. Continue on the B4391 for approximately 8 miles. As you come down the hill in to Llan Ffestiniog you will see a "Welcome to Llan Festiniog sign, turn left immediately after the sign into the lay-by 2 Tan y Bryn is the first cottage at the end of the lay-by. You can park outside or in the lay-by.

From Dolgellau

Take the A470 towards Betws-y-Coed/Ffestiniog. After approximately 13 miles turn right signed Ffestiniog. This is still A470. Follow this for approximately 2 miles until you see a railway bridge before the village of Llan Ffestiniog. Turn immediately right before this bridge signposted Bala. Continue up the hill heading out of the village. As you reach the end of the village 2 Tan y Bryn is the last cottage on the right hand side. You can park outside or in the lay-by.

From Betws-y-Coed

Turn off the A5 onto the A470 heading to Blaenau Ffestiniog, pass through onto LLan Ffestiniog. On reaching the junction in the village centre turn left, continue for a few hundred meters and pass under a railway bridge. Immediately after this turn left signposted Bala. Continue up the hill heading out of the village. As you reach the end of the village 2 Tan y Bryn is the last cottage on the right hand side. You can park outside or in the lay-by.
